Deadly Mates Deadly Trilogy Volume 2 Ashley Stoyanoff Books

To begin with, this book was disappointing. I bought this over 6 months ago and just finished this book last night. I kept having to put it down and walk away because it was so frustrating. All of this began only a few WEEKS ago in the story. There is also the whole “must deny my mate because I’m acting like a brat because I didn’t get my way in life.” Don’t get me wrong, I totally was rooting for Jared and Jade. I wanted their partnership to become so much more and them to get together. I had been rooting for that since book one.
AND THEN WE MAKE JARED A BAD GUY?!?

I understand that the storyline needed to move along, but seriously, the team betraying Jade is a far stretch. It isn’t a true betrayal. They didn’t do anything that Jade wasn’t already doing. They were pissed because Ray was killed and they wanted Jade and Jared to mate because it would piss off Aiden. But it wasn’t like Jade wasn’t having a pretend relationship with Jared.
They made this so called “betrayal” drag on which was so annoying to read. It was just the characters overreacting.

Deadly Mates Deadly Trilogy Volume 2 Ashley Stoyanoff Books Reviews

WOW! Jade is a werewolf. Here's a young woman with so many issues to overcome. She's in love with the Alpha Aidan but she's hot tempered and doesn't want to admit it and decides to run off and become an enforcer. She's been betrayed by her best friend, her father and Aidan. This is their story. Working this out will require major changes for everybody. It's a great book so don't miss it.
I understand that a book is supposed to make you feel something and accomplishing that is good for the author BUT this book is filled with so much unnecessary emotional drama that it's annoying. The story is good but the emotional play by play is exceedingly frustrating....and not in a good way. I haven't decided if I am going to read the next book yet because, honestly, while I would really like to know what happens in this story, I don't want to go through the dramatic emotional rollercoaster to get to the end.....I almost regret ever starting this series...
Oh my goodness, this book! It was so amazing. I think I liked it even more than the first book, Deadly Crush.

First of all Aidan is a sexy beast and I love him very much. So when Jade and Aidan's relationship started heating up, I was very excited.

Throughout the book I wanted to punch Jared in the face so he would just go away and never come back. I think that since Jared is such an a hole, Aidan seemed that much better.

Ashley created such fun and dynamic characters with a plot that will keep you hooked! I can't wait to read the final book in this trilogy.
I'm not really sure how I felt about this book. There is a strong current of male dominance, but it wasn't in the sexy testosterone-filled way that makes it sensual. It was just flat out being rude, demanding, and it took away from the story. Commanding someone you're supposedly crazy about ridiculous- I don't care what supernatural creature you're supposed to be. And Jade was right to be totally pissed about it, but then for whatever reason her Dad being a jerk to her makes her realize she doesn't care that Aiden treats her like garbage?? The story line is good, it's interesting, and the love triangle is always catchy. But the male being the dominant role was really just him being a total jerk, and several times I found myself thinking that in real life it was a perfect example of an abusive relationship. Controlling where she went, who she spent time with, where she lived, how she acted... it's just a little much.
Have you ever made a decision that seemed right at the time, but then once you're following through with it you realize it is stupid and then you perpetuate the stupidity because you're too stubborn to admit your wrong and your still scared of the right choice. That pretty much explains Jade and book 2, though she does come to her senses somewhere in the middle. Also, I know that in high school you are supposed to think your parents are messed up, but the parents in this trilogy are seriously messed up. I am surprised Jade and Aidan aren't more damaged because of it.
This particular book was, if I'm honest, tough to get through. As a parent, I was absolutely fed up with the idiotic temper tantrums that Jade flew into so often I nearly stopped reading it. Honestly, I have little tolerance for poor behavior and she was the queen of poor behavior. She was constantly disagreeable, snarky and, well, behaved like an arse till near the end and then flipped almost on a dime into a nicer, more agreeable mate after she finally accepted her role as mate.

As for Aidan, he was a pitiful excuse for the alpha and leader of the pack until he finally decided to man up and put his foot down with Jade and the other wolves. I know, he was a reluctant leader but honestly, if with his background he knew better and needed to man up much sooner.

I hate to say this but this book annoyed me so much that I cannot pay the money to read the last book in the trilogy.
I am just not a fan of drama, especially high school type drama (though at times this seemed like jr high drama). The main character doesn't understand werewolf pack stuff and the entire book is either her complaining that no one has explained anything to her, or others telling each other that no matter what me has explained anything to her and yet no one thinks that they should just go over and talk. The two main characters could be great but they lie and trick each other over and over. The girl also seems naively foolish as she still pines over a man who was using her and was going to rape her. Just no. Not a good role model.

The terrible thing is that it is a good story and now I'm debating whether to purchase the third book to see how everything turns out. We will see.
